YOU HAVE RECENTLY LEFT SOMETHING IN A TRAIN. WRITE A LETTER TO THE MANAGER OF LOST AND FOUND DEPARTMENT AND SPECIFY WHEN YOU LOST IT DESCRIBE THE OBJECT YOU HAVE LEFT TELL THE MANAGER WHAT YOU WANT THEM TO DO WITH IT

Dear Sir or Madam, I am writing
this
letter to report my missing
wallet
, which I am assuming I forgot
while
travelling on the train. On July 24th, Wednesday I was commuting from Abbotsford to Mission on the Pacific Coastal train around 7:00 pm. After a few hours when I reached home , I realised that I had left my
wallet
somewhere and I am pretty sure it was the train as I did not stop anywhere else along the way before reaching home. I would like to mention some details that might help you identify my
wallet
. It was a 'coach' brand black colour extra space
wallet
with my driver's license, credit cards , medical card and some cash which was around 100 dollars.
Also
, it has my initials 'PD' handcrafted on the back corner and my visiting cards inside . Your immediate consideration on
this
matter would be highly appreciated. If, by any chance you are able to locate my
wallet
you can reach out to me and leave it with the lost and found department. I can fill out any stolen or lost item form and pay the fees to claim the missing item without any hesitation. Thanks for helping out, hope to hear from you soon! Yours Faithfully, Pranav Dhawan.

suitable writing tone
To enhance the tone, consider using more polite modal verbs such as 'could' or 'would', and ensure all spelling is accurate (e.g., avoid typos like 'realised' instead of 'realized', unless it's the British spelling).
logical structure
To improve coherence and cohesion, using a few more transitional phrases (e.g., 'Additionally', 'In conclusion') would strengthen the logical flow.
complete response
You have clearly mentioned all the necessary details, such as the date, time, and description of the lost item, which makes it easy for the reader to understand.
single idea per paragraph
Each paragraph in your letter focuses on a single idea and this improves readability.
greeting and closing
Your opening and closing are appropriately polite and formal, suitable for the context.

Use a variety of complex and simple sentences

You should use complex sentences in your writing, but it does not mean that you should try to make all of our sentences complex.

‘Complex’ sentences are not actually very complex; they are just two or more simple sentences put together. Putting them together makes the essay more coherent and cohesive.

Examples:

I really want to study but I’m too tired.

I wore a warm coat because the weather was cold.

If action is not taken soon on climate change, global warming will get worse.
