The following diagram illustrates the process of producing edible
sugar
from the
sugar
canes.
Overall
, the process consists of three significant subprocesses: farming, harvesting, and mechanical extraction and filtration. The first step involves the farming of the crop; it takes around 1 to 1.8 years to fully mature and grow.
Then
, these crops are either harvested by groups of agricultural tractors and trollies or they are chopped down by the farmers themselves. When the harvesting is done,
then
these
sugar
crops are crushed using a circular crushing engine. These engines compress the
sugar
canes with immense pressure, which results in the extraction of a sugary fluid.
This
fluid is
then
filtered using a limestone filter, and
then
it is sent for boiling. The evaporation boils it up to the point where its water content is completely evaporated.
Then
it is sent to the mixer, where it is constantly stirred until the crystal separates from the mixture. These crystals are
then
dried and cooled in order to be consumed later.
