The bar charts below show the main reasons for study among students of different age groups and the amount of support they received from employers.

The graph presents the causes behind studying amongst people of several ages and the quantity of encouragement they receive from their employers.
Overall
,
it is clear that
students under the age of 26 research mostly for careers and are the most supported by their superiors.
On the contrary
, people over 49 years study mainly for interest but are not as encouraged as younger generations. Indeed, more than 80% of youngsters search for information for their job or university work,
while
less than 10% do that for more personal reasons.
Furthermore
, they get the most time off and help with fees, with more than 60% of employer support.
However
, as they become older, they get less help from their superiors. Over the age of 49, they roughly get more than 40% of encouragement.
This
could be explained by the fact that 70% of students over their fifties research for their own interest
instead
of doing it for work. More precisely, only 18% of them study for their career.
