The diagrams below show the coastal village of Seaville in 1980 and 2010. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant. Write at least 150 words.
The two maps given illustrate the coastal
village
of Seaville in the 19s and 2010. Even though the village
has changed so much, there are still some places which remain the same.
One of the biggest differences that can be seen is that the holiday cottages and Hotel on the left side of the map were removed and the area was turned into permanent houses. A new hotel and a restaurant were built in the middle bottom of the map, replacing the sand dunes and tea room.
On top of it, there was a new boat club next to the river, and on the right side across the river, the new holiday cottages were built. There was also
a new road that connected the east bank and holiday cottages with the main road and the new retirement village
near the middle of the map. Then
, the last
change is the woodland which has been changed into a golf course. Lastly
, the things that remain the same are only the main road, east bank, river, and the sea which are still in the same place as before, and did not get any changes.
In summary, there were some big alterations in the village
especially for housing, and some of the places that are being removed are reconstructed in the other area.Submitted by riani.the2 on
