The maps compare the current layout of the Norbiton industrial area and the proposed rearrangement for its future improvement. At present, the industrial zone is located to the east of the town, and farmland lies to the north of the town of Norbiton and the industrial area, separated by a river. In the industrial region, a roundabout is right in the centre, with two secondary roads branching eastward and southward, respectively. Factories are along the sides of these streets. Meanwhile, the industrial area and Norbiton are connected in the south by a main artery which runs from west to east paralleling the river in the north. In the planned development, the industrial zone will be changed into a residential place, and a bridge is projected to be built over the river to connect the housing region in the south to the residential buildings in the farmland. Meanwhile, on the northwest of the ring road, a new street is going to be constructed, with two housing units along its side
