You would like to request time off from work for a family function.
Write a letter to your manager. In your letter:
Give details of the event
Explain why you need time off
Suggest how your work could be managed during your absence
Dear Sir,
I hope you are doing well. I am writing to request some time off from work on May 28, because I need to attend a family function.
My parents will celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary on May 29. On that occasion, my brother and I planned a party for them. The event will take place in the morning, and I need to finalise a few designs and the menu with the catering team on May 28 at noon time around 4 PM.
I need time off for 4 hours on that day, which means I'll leave the office at 1 PM and will go straight to the catering office, to finalise some important arrangements.
Meanwhile, I have already talked with John to have a closer look at my support inbox, in case any high-priority ticket gets raised. He agreed to take care of that.
Thanks for understanding my concern.
Sincerely,
Mohit

Good explanation of the event and why you need time off.
coherence and cohesion
Polite greeting and closing used effectively.
Use a variety of complex and simple sentences
You should use complex sentences in your writing, but it does not mean that you should try to make all of our sentences complex.
‘Complex’ sentences are not actually very complex; they are just two or more simple sentences put together. Putting them together makes the essay more coherent and cohesive.
Examples:
I really want to study but I’m too tired.
I wore a warm coat because the weather was cold.
If action is not taken soon on climate change, global warming will get worse.
The issue of taking care of elderly people has sparked a significant debate between those who believe that adults should look after their parents at home and others who advocate the importance of special homes for ageing individuals. This essay will discuss both views in detail and explain why I support the second perspective.
Development and sudden extension of supermarkets makes it impossible for local businesses to compete with them. Moreover, a group of individuals consider that local businesses' closure will have a bad impact on local communities. This essay completely disagrees that the expansion of supermarkets will kill smaller communities, owing to the advantages that this trend brings, such as a higher employment rate and its facilities.
In recent times, the younger generation has been observed to migrate from their country to further their education. For many, this movement is for a great cause. However, others believe it is a detrimental decision to make. Whilst acknowledging that there are downsides to studying overseas, I strongly believe that its benefits take precedence over the disadvantages.
I am writing this letter regarding some important information about the farewell which we are arranging for Mr. John. As we have discussed we will arrange it within this week and I would like to add some suggestions, which I have got from few other employees.
In this generation, pupils tend to give away on healthy habits and rely on medications instead. I completely agree with this statement because individuals seem to be too busy to take care of their health. The reasons for this trend will be analysed in this essay •
