task response
Give a clear answer in the first part: this is mainly a good change. Keep this same view in every body part and in the end.
task response
Explain each main idea more. For example, say why food from other places saves travel time and money, and why this is good for people.
task response
The health point is not fully clear. Food from other countries is not always bad for health. Use a stronger bad point, such as more transport, more cost, or less sales for local farmers.
task response
Your India example is about places to eat, but the task is about food sold in supermarkets. Use an example about pasta, fruit, or spices sold in a local supermarket.
coherence and cohesion
Use a simple four-part plan: introduction, first good point, second good point with one bad point, and conclusion.
coherence and cohesion
Start each body part with one clear main sentence. Then give an explanation and one example. Do not put many new ideas in the same part.
coherence and cohesion
Use linking words in a more natural way: First, Also, However, For example, and In conclusion. Avoid very formal words such as “To embark upon” and “To recapitulate.”
coherence and cohesion
Make the last part a full conclusion. State your view again and sum up the two main reasons. Do not end with an unfinished idea.
task response
You answer the question and clearly say that the good sides are greater than the bad sides.
task response
You try to use an example from India, which helps make your ideas more real.
coherence and cohesion
Your essay has an introduction, two body parts, and an ending, so the reader can follow the basic plan.
coherence and cohesion
You use some linking words, such as “On the other hand,” “For instance,” and “Although.”
Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
Topic Vocabulary:
  • nutrition
  • cultural exposure
  • competitive markets
  • economic boost
  • employment opportunities
  • carbon footprint
  • environmental impact
  • local produce
  • food security
  • global supply chain
  • sustainable practices
  • consumer choice
  • market dynamics
  • price competition
  • agricultural sector
