Some people say that parents should encourage their children to take part in organized group activities in their free time. Others say that it is important for the children to learn how to occupy themselves on their own. Discuss both views and give your own opinion
It is commonly believed that the children should be encouraged to actively participate in the organized group activities, while many other individuals often argue that it is critical for the kids to learn how to keep busy by themselves. In my opinion, allowing the younger generation to interact with others in the group activities will help them in becoming a better person. Taking first aspect into the account, some people pro-actively support and encourage the children to take part in the group activities because it will help the them in developing good communication skills and the social behavior. Being a good team player always aids in the future growth. For example, if a kid is part of the sports team, with ease of communication and coordination acquired through group sessions, he or she might play an important role in everyone’s success. Where as in the second aspect, if kids are not allowed to participate in the group sessions, their ability to talk to others and communicate effectively will diminish. Although the kids might earn a capability to achieve the tasks on their own, but it is not always icing on a cake, it can become quite stressful and it in turn effects the mental health of the children. For example, if a task is assigned to the child which requires good amount of co-ordination with others and information gathering, and if he is not trained earlier to handle the similar activity, it can turn in to daunting situation. In my opinion, I firmly adequate the idea of encouraging the children to participate in organized group activities. The pros of working in a team far outweighs the benefits of being a lone worker.
