Some people think that all university students should study whatever they like.Others believe that they should only be allowed to study subjects that will be useful in the future such as those related to science and technology. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

It is often thought by some individuals that university students ought to be given the freedom to
study
any subject of their choice.
However
, others believe they should be coerced to read only courses that will be relevant in the
future
such
as science related courses.
Although
allowing college pupils make career choices freely is not without merit, I am strongly convinced that it is necessary to guide them to
study
disciplines that will be relevant in the
future
. It is believed , by pro

, that it is morally justifiable if students decide certain areas to
study
because of the right to freedom of choice as humans.
This
is important because when these choices are made freely, they tend to pursue their career paths passionately. If
this
is not the case,
this
might result in poor performance in school and leave them unfulfilled since the decision was not made freely.
For example
, according to experts at the university of Washington, youngste

notion.
Nonetheless

that these arguments do not stand up to scrutiny.
This
is because with the spate of technological advancements and unemployment, there is a great need to pursue academic areas that are highly relevant in the
future
.Undoubtedly, only individuals with requisite technical abilities will be gainfully employed in the
future
.
This
means that those who studied disciplines that are of great irrelevance in the
future
, will not be employed. Not only
this
, they are not likely to be fulfilled in the
future
as oppose to the claims made by opponents. Let us take,
for instance
, an engineer in western countries is likely to be employed than a graduate of biology who does not possess the required skill. There is no doubt ,

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
