In the modern world, a university education is essential in order to get a rewarding job and earn a high salary. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

In modern society, having a

salary
. I agree with
this
view on the whole but I
also
think that some
people
might achieve these things in their own
way
. There are indeed many benefits of a
university
education.
Firstly
, universities are places where many gifted
people
gather together in one place to pass the fruits of human knowledge from one generation to the next. After spending several years in
such
a place a student should possess a deep understanding of their field, which they can
then
utilise in their future career. As an expert, it is much more likely that they will receive a high
salary
, certainly in comparison with lower-skilled workers.
In addition
, having immersed themselves in a subject for so long, it is
also
likely that the student will develop a deep interest in their area of study, which will motivate them to continue to improve their knowledge and skills

their whole career. If someone just does a basic, repetitive job, it is more likely that they see work just as a
way
to make money, and may often change jobs
as a result
, reducing their quality of life.
However
, we should not force everyone to attend
university
. Some
people
are not academically gifted, but they are
also
likely to make important contributions to the community in more practical vocations.
For example
, we do not only need engineers, but
also
electricians.
Also
, by working hard and establishing a good reputation there is no reason why
such
people
can’t

while
doing something they enjoy.

to achieve success in life

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
