Traffic congestion in major cities is an increasing problem, yet there is an environmental impact to be considered when building new roads. What can be done about this problem?

Nowadays, it is obvious that large cities are becoming busier

as a result

of a private

transport

overuse.

issue affects not only the people, but

has a negative impact on the environment, so it is necessary to find a proper solution to

problem.  In my opinion, the main reason for traffic congestion is an increasing number of people preferring the private

much more than the public one. High prices of public transportation, inconvenient and inflexible routes and poor conditions like dirt and lack of seats can cause the choice to use a personal vehicle

of the bus or train.

Thus

, the improvement of public transportation’s conditions and the development of new comfortable routes could encourage a huge number of people to choose public

transport

rather than driving. The government should

contribute to the solution of

problem by charging fares that are affordable to everyone.

charge a fee for each car going to the busiest roads in the city centre.
