Some people who have been in prison become good citizens later, and it is often argued that these are the best people to talk to teenagers about the dangers of committing a crime. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

The prevention of crimes is a matter of concern in modern societies, and criminals who have served their sentence and changed their behaviour are considered proper examples to discourage young people from breaking the law. I am convinced that they represent the best exponents to develop
this
challenging task. Ex prisoners who have overcome adversity and stopped offending can act as positive role models for young people. In fact, they have a lot to teach in order to divert teenagers from crime by developing their sense of personal responsibility. As a matter of fact, young people may be reluctant to talk to authority figures, and tend to rely more on people who have experienced the consequences of committing crimes.
