The graph illustrates the proportion of households in owning and rental accommodation in England and Wales between 1918 and 2011 We have seen many ups and downs during huge period. The

percentage

of households own accommodation was at the bottom in 1918 and after passing of years there has been a gradual increased in

percentage

that led towards approximately maximum of 70% in 2011.

However

. The

percentage

of households in rented accommodation were at peak in 1918 and most likely touched 80%. But after the passing of years there had a gradual downfall in proportion and the lowest figures was recorded in 2001 that was about to 30%. It must be noted that both proportion was same in 1971 and shared equal figures of 50% when both types of households took up same

. Overall, we have seen a significant

and in both cases increasing and decreasing were common respectively from beginning to final year, whereas it was opposite in the
