Some people believe that men and women are equal and so women should be able to do any job they want. Others feel that men and women are not equal and therefore there are certain jobs which are not suitable for women.

However
, there are several precedents by which Indian women have fought for their rights throughout history. Indian women fought for equality, fraternity, and liberty and triumphed in establishing positions in politics, business, entertainment, etc. Even though they were successful in abolishing the prevalent laws of Satipratha and polygamy, still 80% of Indian women are deprived of their basic rights. They are not getting proper education and healthcare. According to a Thomas Reuters Foundation survey, India is the worst country for women in the world. Here women are the victims of violence from before they are born till they die. Some of the most common crimes against them are dowry death, acid attack, female infanticide, sexual violence, human trafficking, domestic violence, and income inequality. Here, a girl is not safe in her mother’s womb. When her parents decide to bring her into the world, and somehow, she manages to be born,

she has to face predators at each stage of her life. They live their lives in perpetual fear of social stigma by the chauvinist and patriarchal society. Despite comprising 33% in politics, their opinions are rarely acknowledged.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
