Due to the rapid development and expansion of supermarkets in some countries many small, local businesses are unable to compete. Some people think that the closure of local businesses will bring about the death of local communities. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Supermarkets were not existing but nowadays
this
is not the case. Hypermarkets are now available in every city and trending a lot. Due to the fast growth of hypermarkets, small shop owners are not able to exist i

the competition. Some people believe that closing small and local businesses will be the end of local people. I am of the opinion and will share my points in the following paragraphs. The primary reason to agree with
this
is the offerings given by the big stores. Consumers can get various choices of the products in terms of quality and brands which are incomparable with the local shops.
In addition
to
this
, huge markets are buying things in bulk and have the capacity to store for a long term. Due to the reason, they have a capability to sale out things on less price, whereas small and medium shop owners do not have

price on any product. Another persuasive reason is the availability of the products at any
time
of the day. Giant markets are open for a longer
time
and in fact few of the markets are open for 24X7 that gives the flexibility to consumers to buy at any
time
of the day whereas
this
cannot be a case with small shop owners.
For example
, markets
such
as Carrefour and Megamart open for 24X7 and give an open option to the customer to walk-in anytime.
For example
. I recently read a report in the Guardian, which talked about the stores which are open for long duration have 30% additional income with the stores that open for a limited
time
