Some people think that having a set retirement age (e.g. 65 years) for everybody, regardless of occupation, is unfair. They believe that certain workers deserve to retire and receive a pension at an earlier age. Do you agree or disagree? Which types of workers do you think should benefit from early retirement?

People are not in in a favour of the defined
retirement
, and they argue that certain types of jobs should allow employees to enjoy early
retirement
and get the pension benefit.
This
essay will discuss why I agree with the statement and
also
consider some occupations that deserve an early
age
premium. To initiate, fixed
retirement
age
(e.g. 65 years) sounds unfair and it should be based on occupation and one's choice.
This
is because some jobs require extreme physical and mental strength which may not be found in 65 year old.
In addition
, there should be a freedom of choice when a person wants to take a
retirement
and grant can be adjusted
accordingly
.
For instance
, in Canada, the defined
retirement
age
is 65 years,
however if
Accept comma addition
however, if
an employee would like to resign after 60 years of
age
, the allowance would be reduced by certain percentages. In short, there should be a flexibility in
retirement
age
because of physical and mental health requirements and freedom of choice. Indeed, it is believed that there are several occupations which deserve early
age
retirement
and enjoy the life with a pension benefit. Those occupations include Defence personnel, construction labourers, doctors, teachers to name but a few. Those personnel have devoted their entire career in serving their country. These types of jobs require an excessive amount of standing or weight lifting ability which could be a laborious task for certain employee and they might not be able to perform their job duties at a certain
age
.
Therefore
, certain occupations should be benefiting from early
retirement
. In conclusion, the idea of defined
retirement
is absolutely unfair and several types of employees deserve early pension benefits. In my opinion, I believe that the
retirement
age
should be based on one's willingness and ability to perform a particular task and
also
the type of career field they are in.
