In the contemporary education system, Science and Technology have become the inevitable subjects.
However
, some segment of people concurs that
History
is one of the most required syllabus, while others believe that only those technical subjects are vital. In
this
essay, I will examine both these views and conclude why
History
should
also
be given the equal importance along with other curriculum books.
To begin
with, those who advocate the idea of imposing only the knowledge of Science and Technology among students argue that the future of pupil depends on it. To support their idea, nowadays, myriad of job openings are only for those got educated and well versed in modern mechanics, robotics, and other Science related knowledge. A study was conducted
last
year that says, unemployment rate is high with those who studied
History
as a major during their degree course.
Thus
, when it is not paving the way for employment, those people are against it. On the flip side, others, myself included, do not support the idea and we believe that studying
History
as one of the subjects is an essential part of life. When students study the historical subjects, which depict our ancient culture and leaders, it will help them a lot to understand the importance of human values, power and ethics. These so-called technologies like robotics or machineries cannot teach those values. There are many inspiring histories around us and it is our duty to make sure it is carried away to
next generation

. Apparently, it will change the way they see our society. To conclude, rather than marching towards the modern science and technologies, students should

understand the
history
of the world, their culture, and their own country.
