People should follow the customs and traditions when people start to live in a new country. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

The world is seeing a rise in migrants who move from their own countries to live in another. Many people are of the opinion that migrants should adapt and follow both customs and traditions of the destination nation. I can only partly agree with
this
view and will give my reasons below. In terms of customs, each
country
has its own politics, laws and norms that define its structure and community.
Thus
, committing to be a member of one society without committing to its regulations or even trying to change them is not appropriate and
such
person should not decide to live in
such
country
the
first
place.
In addition
, following the customs
also
helps migrants themselves and the
country
maintain and secure social welfare and national protection.
As a result
, I believe
this
is an obligation that every person living in a new
country
should abide with no questions asked. Traditions, ranging from everyday practice
to
Suggestion
in
of
religious identification, vary from community to community, but they help each person define his or her own identity and values,
thus
should be socially embraced and respected regardless of the differences between countries. It is our human rights to freely practice our own culture and traditions everywhere we go,
hence
apart from following the mandatory national customs, I believe it is not compulsory to eschew our own values to adapt another when we change our living environment. A salad bowl is healthier than a melting pot. In conclusion, I agree that people who live in a new
country
should abide automatically to the customs but only optionally to new traditions.
