Some people say that in all levels of education, from primary schools to universities, too much time is spent on learning facts and not enough on learning practical skills. Do you agree or disagree?

It is said that too much
time
is devoted to teaching factual concepts in all educational levels, while the amount of
time
allocated to practical skills is not sufficient. I am firmly convinced that
this
practice should not be applied. That all educational facilities pay too much attention to theoretical concepts rather than practical ones is undeniable. The curricula of various educational levels have been designed in
this
way to incorporate more theoretical knowledge so as to improve student's academic achievement. Students studying in a secondary school,
for instance
, have many theoretical lectures on Chemistry, including elements of the periodic table and specific chemical formulas, whereas
this
course includes only two or three laboratory sessions based on the planned subject syllabus.
On the other hand
, the reason why inadequate
time
is allocated to practical courses could be their high costs. Providing practical facilities
such
as cutting-edge labs and hands-on workshops are not affordable for many universities due to the high cost of their equipment like computers, or centrifuges. Whit they not paying enough money for providing these facilities, it would make students' lessons more teacher-led and make students less autonomous learner inasmuch as most of their lessons would be theoretical. Being a passive learner would not lead to acquiring critical thinking skills, including interpretation, observation, and
