Dear Sir or Madam, I am writing with regard to a recent situation that I encountered concerning your airline that caused me great inconvenience and I would like you to take corrective measures that are twofold. I was due to fly to London yesterday, 21st March 2021 and was booked on British Airways

No. 4533 departing Mumbai at 9 am. While I reached the airport well ahead of the departure time, upon reaching the check-in counter I was informed by your airline staff that they could not find my booking, to my great dismay. I presented my ticket and other travel documents as proof of purchase.

IELTS says that you should write a minimum of 150 words in writing task 1. If you go under word count you will lose marks in task response.

A very long letter will not give you a higher band score.

Aim for between 160 to 190 words in writing task 1. This will ensure a concise letter and will be realistic in terms of time management. You have only 20 minutes to write the letter and you need around 5 minutes of planning time, so you will not be able to write a long letter in 15 minutes.
