The given chart compares the percentages of consumer spending on various items in five major countries in the year 2002. It is apparent that all of these nations spent a major amount of money on foods, drinks and tobacco compared to other categories. Turkey showed the highest expenditure;
however
, Sweden and Spain reported much lower percentages of expenditure. Regarding food, drinks, and tobacco, Turkey had experienced, approximately 33% spending, which is the highest figure in the chart, and more than doubled that of Sweden (15.77%, with the least amount). Ireland held the
second
rank on consumption in
this
category, with 28.91%. Spain and Italy contributed almost the same amount, with just above 16%. In the clothing and footwear department, Italy spent almost 9%, which was the highest in
this
sector, and Sweden spent almost half of Itlay, with the least proportion. While other countries experienced almost the same expenditure, just under 7%. Meanwhile, in leisure and education, the most spending was noted by Turkey again, with 4.35%, whereas, Spain spent only 2%, and other nations lied roughly between these two extremes.
