The given pie charts illustrate the main source of
energy
 for the USA between 1980 and 1990. It is clear that overall alternative
energy
 use increased moderately from 1980 to 1990. While most of the
energy
 used in the USA was oil in 1980, the amount of oil consumed fell steadily in 1990. Looking at the
first
 main feature,in 1980 only 22% of using coal power, but
this
 figure rose gradually to 27% in 1990.
Furthermore
, while only 5% of nuclear power consuming in 1980, approximately one times as many consumes ten years later. With regard to another main feature, the proportion of natural gas was used minimal drop from 26% in 1980 to 25% in 1990.
On the contrary
, the number of hydroelectric power consumed remained relatively constant at only 5% over the period.
