Write a letter to the manager complaining about the bad service. Say when and how you ordered the cheque book. Ask how much longer you will have to wait and ask the manager what action he will take over this matter. You should write at least 150 words.

Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to you to express my dissatisfaction with the quality of service. It is truly disappointing that a bank with a great reputation allows
such
delays in fulfilling customers' orders.
Last
Friday, I visited your local branch in Toronto to request a chequebook. After spending endless hours in the queue, I
finally
got a chance to speak to the bank officer, and she assured me that it will be delivered tomorrow latest.
However
, it has been almost a week, and my order still has not been fulfilled. I would like to be informed about the approximate day of delivery; I hope it would not be too long.
Furthermore
, it would be nice to hear from you what steps you would suggest in resolving
this
issue. I would appreciate your timely response. Yours faithfully, Vladimir Panchenko

Word Count

IELTS says that you should write a minimum of 150 words in writing task 1. If you go under word count you will lose marks in task response.

A very long letter will not give you a higher band score.

Aim for between 160 to 190 words in writing task 1. This will ensure a concise letter and will be realistic in terms of time management. You have only 20 minutes to write the letter and you need around 5 minutes of planning time, so you will not be able to write a long letter in 15 minutes.
