Dear May, I hope
this
email finds you well. I knew that you had finished our business trip from the US
last
week. Great to hear that you made an excellent presentation to our potential investors. Wish that we will hear some feedback soon. I read a
company
notice today, which states that the
company
has launched an exchange programme in The Netherlands for 6 months. The application started in June 2011. I would like to apply for
this
exchange programme to go to The Netherlands for six months. I would like to seek your approval on it. I have worked in ABC
company
for 3 years, which have
such
a great experience to learn lots during
this
period. I am so keen to learn more about our
company
working flow and Dutch accounting standards. I do believe that I can share with our colleagues what I learned after I joined the exchange programme. Peter can take over my tasks when I am not in the office during
this
period. We have coordinated tasks together for a while. He already has a basic understanding of what I am doing on a daily basis.
In addition
, I will go through my daily work with him when I am away for 6 months. I am very looking forward to having
this
opportunity to learn much more
company
's background and knowledge. Could you please introduce me to Alice at Human Resource Department at the Netherlands office? Thank you very much for your kind assistance. Yours faithfully, XXXXX

Use a variety of complex and simple sentences

You should use complex sentences in your writing, but it does not mean that you should try to make all of our sentences complex.

‘Complex’ sentences are not actually very complex; they are just two or more simple sentences put together. Putting them together makes the essay more coherent and cohesive.

Examples:

I really want to study but I’m too tired.

I wore a warm coat because the weather was cold.

If action is not taken soon on climate change, global warming will get worse.
