You recently bought a piece of equipment for your kitchen but it did not work. You phoned the shop but no action was taken. Write a letter to the shop manager. In your letter: • describe the problem with the equipment • explain what happened when you phoned the shop • say what you would like the manager to do

Dear Smart Appliances manager, I am writing
this
letter regarding a recent purchase I have made from your store. Two weeks ago I ordered a Bosch dishwasher online (model 12A56T) and a couple of days later
one
of your technicians kindly came to install it.
However
, whenever I try to use the economy mode (namely, shorter cycle using less water) it continues to do a whole cycle lasting 3 hours. After reading the instructions multiple times and looking for solutions on the internet, I
finally
rang the store
last
week. I spoke to
one
of the staff there, his name was Stuart, and I explained to him the issue that I was having with the dishwasher. Unfortunately, he was not able to help me over the phone but said that someone would contact me shortly to assist me with the problem.
However
, as of today, no
one
has called me. Would you be able to kindly get
one
of your technicians to either give me a call or come to check the dishwasher in person? Alternatively, should you find it appropriate, a replacement of the item would be fine too
.

Thank you for your understanding. I look forward to hearing from you. Yours sincerely, Ariadna

Use a variety of complex and simple sentences

You should use complex sentences in your writing, but it does not mean that you should try to make all of our sentences complex.

‘Complex’ sentences are not actually very complex; they are just two or more simple sentences put together. Putting them together makes the essay more coherent and cohesive.

Examples:

I really want to study but I’m too tired.

I wore a warm coat because the weather was cold.

If action is not taken soon on climate change, global warming will get worse.
