You took your family to a nearby restaurant. You were disappointed with the meal and wish to complain to the manager. Write a letter to the manager of the restaurant. In the letter: explain why you were at the restaurant describe the problems write about the action you want the manager to take

Dear Manager, I’m writing
this
to make a complaint about a meal that I taste in your restaurant.
Last
week, actually on the 5th I went to your restaurant with my family to celebrate my graduation day. I ordered three medium Pepperoni Pizzas, three portions of Garlic bread to have as dine-in and two large Tandoori Masala Pizzas to take out. To be honest, I was not quite happy with the meal we experienced. The taste of Pepperoni Pizza was somewhat awful, same as with Garlic bread. We all complained about
this
to the waitress, but nothing happened. I was a regular customer of your restaurant. And I remember nothing like
this
. That was the main reason behind having my party at your location. I would like to bring your attention to
this
matter immediately, and
also
I want you to take necessary action to prevent
such
things from happening in the future. If it is going to happen I am sure you are aware, that these things will affect badly on your brand name. It would be great if you can update me with the details of the procedures that you are going to take and the result of the necessary investigation. I look forward to hearing from you. Yours sincerely, Supun

Structure your letter

A letter needs to be written using a proper format, including the following:

  • A greeting (Dear sir/madam, Dear John, Dear Mr. Smith)
  • The main body (consisting of paragraphs for each part of the letter)
  • A closing (Yours sincerely, Yours faithfully, Best wishes, Kind regards, Love)

When writing a letter as part of the IELTS General Training Writing Task 1, it is important to include the bullet points presented to you in the question.

All three bullet points need to be presented. And remember that some bullet points contain more than one element. So, make sure to watch for ‘and’ and plurals.
