You are unhappy about a plan to make your local airport bigger and increase the number of flights. You live near the airport. Write a letter to your local newspaper. In your letter explain where you live describe the problem give reasons why you do not want this development Write at least 150 words. You do NOT need to write any addresses. Begin your letter as follows: Dear Sir or Madam,
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing to let you know my sentiments about the plan for the expansion of the Newtown Airport.
I am residing near Mandau Stadium, which is just a five-minute walk away from the said airport. I have been living here for more than a decade now, but
this
will be the first
time I have had an issue with the local government’s proposal.
The current expansion plan includes the demolition of the stadium to convert it into a runway. This
stadium has been standing long before and is one of the town’s iconic establishments.
I am against its destruction because that building means a lot to us. Many citizens have memories tied to it and have businesses running because of it. Having a bigger airport does come with advantages; however
, I believe that tearing down a monumental building is not worth it.
If you want to publish my grievances or quote me in any article, please do not hesitate.
Kind Regards,
