The illustrations demonstrate the life cycle of
Salmon
which is a species of large fish. In general, their life initiates from an egg in an upper
river
to a mature one after about 9 years in three different types of water resources. In the beginning, a fertilized
salmon
lays eggs among small stones covered by reeds in a streambed of the upper
river
with slow-moving water. Eggs are hatched and after about 5 to 6 months newborns fish with a length of 3-8 cm which is called Fry are ready to move to the lower
river
. The Fry inhabit the lower
river
with fast flowing approximately four years to become Smolt with a size of 12-15 cm from the head to the tail. Smolts
then
, migrate to the open sea to be matured.
This
period lasts for five years, and in
this
,stage the length of an adult
salmon
is 70-76 cm. A fertilized adult
salmon
again moves up towards the
river
to reach the upper
river
where eggs can be accommodated by slow-moving water to complete their life cycle.
