The pie charts depict five primary energy sources in the United States in two intervals, 1980 and 1990. It is clear from the graphs that oil was the dominant source in both spans, and there was no significant change in sources proportion.
According to
what is shown, the oil ratio declined from 42 per cent to 33 per cent in 1990. While
natural gas is the second largest energy supply in both periods, with 26% and 25%, respectively. Coal supplied 24 % of the overall
energy in 1980, and this
contribution increased to 27% in 1990.
Nuclear power increased to double the proportion in 1980 and reached 10 per cent. There was no change in the hydroelectric power supply, which remains at an exact percentage.
