The responsibility of bringing up children should be shared equally between mother and father. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

The phenomenon of sharing the same duty of taking care of
children
with
parents
has aroused wide concern among various circles. Divergent as people's views on
this
issue in question may be, I totally agree that raising a
kid
should not be
one
side's responsibility. Of all the reasons why the liability of bringing up
children
should be shared equals
parents
, probably the most significant
one
is that most
parents
in Hong Kong have to
work
to afford the basic expenditure of life.If only
one
goes to
work
, and another
one
just takes care of the
children
, they may be not able to raise the child and rent the house at the same
time
. So,
both
parents
must go to
work
to maintain their quality of life.
However
,
this
in turn reduces their
time
bringing up the
children
. If they can share the responsibility to take care of their
kid
, they may able to find the balance point between
work
and raising a
kid
. Another reason that should not be overlooked is that
children
can learn from
both
parents
' strengths. Without a mother or father, it is bad for the
children
's development.
For instance
, there are investigations conducted in Hong Kong, those
children
who grew up with single
parents
are not good at communicating with others, and most of them are more negative than others who raise with
both
parents
.
As a result
,
parents
should manage their
time
to make sure they
both
have
time
to spend with their
children
and pass on their knowledge or experience to their kids. Under
this
link of thinking, it seems to me that shared the duty of parenting is more beneficial to the
kid
, and avoids the negative effect of a single parent on the
children
.
