Some people think that staying in hotels is not a good option to know about a country or its people. What do you think about this viewpoint?

The maps illustrate the changes that took place in the town of Langley from 1910 to 1950.

According to the
first
diagram in 1910, on the left
side
of the
map
was Jordon
street
, along which were a wide number of townhouses on both sides.
Moreover
, the right
side
of the
map
was separated from various houses by
Sherman
street
, where a store and a laundry were on one
side
, and a cafe was on the other
side
. The upper region of the
map
was a factory and wasteland.
Likewise
, the lower
map
was a wasteland and railway workers’ cottages.

 Turning to the
second
map
in 1950, Jordon
street
and
Sherman
street
remained unchanged;
however
, townhouses were turned into three flats on the left
side
of Jordon
street
.
Similarly
, the factory was replaced by
Sherman
mansions, and
Sherman
park with a children’s play area in the bottom right corner took the place of wasteland. It is worth noting that a new lane was constructed and the number of stores increased in size, whereas the railway line was lost.
Overall, it is evident that
this
area became larger with more facilities and tall buildings over the 40 years.
