Dear colleague and boss. I am Maftuna Omonova, your assistant at work. I congratulate you on becoming a leader. I wish you luck and I sincerely hope that you will contribute to the development of our company. I looked at the ads for your job the other day and they are very good. All the information and quality of the product are very well covered in your ads. Current daily demand for our company's products is increasing. Everything is good in our company. I have something to discuss with you and I am writing to meet you. I need your advice. I'm working on a project and I'd like you to check out some bugs in it. Will the public like my project? if you give it a try. Sincerely, your colleague Maftuna. I will wait for your reply.

Structure your letter

A letter needs to be written using a proper format, including the following:

  • A greeting (Dear sir/madam, Dear John, Dear Mr. Smith)
  • The main body (consisting of paragraphs for each part of the letter)
  • A closing (Yours sincerely, Yours faithfully, Best wishes, Kind regards, Love)

When writing a letter as part of the IELTS General Training Writing Task 1, it is important to include the bullet points presented to you in the question.

All three bullet points need to be presented. And remember that some bullet points contain more than one element. So, make sure to watch for ‘and’ and plurals.
