These days, people prefer to throw damaged items away, while in the past, they used to repair and use things for a long time. Why do you think this change has happened? What are the effects of this change?
Nowadays, people discard the things once they get ruined,
however
, in earlier times, they used to get them altered or repaired fo longer use. This
essay will discuss why this
trend is happening and will further
elaborate the outcomes of it.
I believe that one
of the major reason behind this
change is modernaisation and lack of sentiments in youngsters. In ancient era, people used to value their personal collections and belongings much more than now. Be it a bicycle gifted by parents or a toy bought by elders. For instance
: My mother once told me that she brought one
of her favourite toys from childhood with her in the new house after marriage as it was a gesture of love given by her aunt. It is very rare to see such
type of care towards the things in present times.
The effects of this
nature of humans have adverse effect on the society. Now kids find an opportunity to buy a new object if the older one
breaks. They are losing the importance of money. For them, repair and replacement are outdated exercise and they prefer throwing their damaged items in the bins. This
kind of habit has made the youngsters more arrogant and emotionless. For example
: Recently, one
of my friends bought an iPhone which got display issues after some time. Instead
of taking it to the service center he treated it as a garbage and started demanding for upgraded version from his parents. It can be clearly seen that there is no feeling left in children these days in terms of spending.
In the conclusion, we can say that it is important to understand the value of things and emotions at the same time. Not everything should be taken for granted. Parents should not fulfil every demand of their kids with closed eyes. Rather they should be taught about their worth.Submitted by cashreya2675 on
