Any country should be able to sell goods to other countries without the restrictions of the government. Do you agree or disagree?

In an era where most of the
countries
 in the world believe in democracy and freedom of choice, one can argue that there should not be any restrictions towards the import of goods from the
government
's end.
However
, in my perspective, considering the interest of the
government
 and the people of a particular
country
, it is important to be cautious about
such
 trading between
countries
.  While every individual should have the right to sell his products to other
countries
, the role of
government
 intervention in monitoring
such
 exports becomes crucial with respect to certain goods.
For example
, as the governing body of a
country
, it is the responsibility of a
government
 to have sufficient agricultural products
such
 as rice and wheat to satiate the need of the
country
. Lack of control over the export of
such
 essential commodities may lead to a dearth of
such
 resources due to which there could be a famine in the
country
. Any
country
's economy and welfare are dependent on its people's health. It is imperative that
countries
 have a strong medical infrastructure to ensure that it is able to address the health issues of the public. In
such
 situations, the
government
 will have to provide certain restrictions regarding the sale of medicines by private entities to other
countries
. To summarise, I certainly see a need for
government
 policies which regulate the export of essential commodities keeping in mind the well-being of the
country
.
