The pie charts show the average consumption of food in the world in 2008 compared to two countries; China and India.

Write a report to a university lecturer describing the data.

Write at least 150 words.
The given charts illustrate the average proportion of food consumed by the
world
in comparison with two different countries, which are
China
and
India
in 2008. Looking from an
overall
perspective,
while
the percentage of processed food accounted for the most predominant share of the four categories, a reverse pattern can be seen in the figure for nuts and seeds, which always made up a small part of the charts. Regarding the diagram, there was 41% of processed meals consumed by the
world
population, which was much higher than
China
and
India
, at 34% and 39% respectively.
In addition
,
whereas
the proportion of vegetables and fruits in the
world
and
India
were lower than 30%, at 29% and 23%, the data in
China
was slightly greater, at 32%. Turning to the other kind of foods, it can be seen that the Indians absorbed most meals made from animals, at 27% , followed by less than 1% in the
world
and 12% for the Chinese.
However
, the average of nuts and seeds occupied the smallest percentage, 19% in
China
, 11% in
India
and just 4% in the
world
.
