The two graphs describe the proportion of housework and the average amount of
time
doing it between two sex men and women in 5 distinct chores namely cooking, cleaning, pet care, and house repairs.
Overall
, it can be clearly seen that females overtake males in cooking and cleaning in
both
two charts; whilst, males hold a higher percentage and
time
looking after their pets and repairing the house. Looking at the chart in more detail, the proportion of females who take care of cooking and cleaning keep over 80% and over 60% respectively, which is higher than that of the male by 21% in
both
cooking and cleaning.
In contrast
, males keep their house repaired by nearly 20%, which doubled that of females. There is
also
a similar figure between pet care of
both
sexes, with men’s proportion on looking after their pets only higher than that of women’s 1%. The average
time
doing chores shows the same trend as the percentage of doing it in
both
sexes.
While
cooking and cleaning in the figures of women still hold the higher percentage with 85 and 68 minutes in turn, men’s
time
spent on cooking and cleaning only hold 60 and 45 minutes respectively.
Time
spent on looking after their pet in
both
sexes is the same, which is 20 minutes.
