From 1970 to 2030, the car has always been the popular choice for travelling in the UK. Moreover
, the average sum of commuters using cars for transport is increasing. On the contrary
, the population using buses for travelling has declined over the years and the number for the usage of trains has gone up.
Car usage remained the same between 1970 to 1980 and thereafter
shows a steady rise. Meanwhile, the bus was the second commonest mode of travelling after cars in the 1970s, but over the years it has become less popular. Even though the train is the least used out of all three means of travelling, public usage is on a steady rise recently.
