The diagrams below show the stages and equipment used in the cement-making process, and how cement is used to produce concrete for building purposes
The two diagrams illustrate how
cement
is produced from natural raw materials and the process of concrete manufacture. In general, the
cement
production visual shows that
cement
is made of limestone and clay,
while
the concrete diagram depicts that concrete is made from
cement
, sand , gravel and water in certain quantities. To start with
cement
manufacture , in the first stage , limestone and clay are added in specific amount together into the crusher which grinds the two material to a powder , after that the powder is transferred to the mixer which after mixing deliver the mixture into the rotating heater where external heat is applied.
then
the mixture is moved by a conveyer belt into the grinder to grind the lumpy mixture to powder again , the
last
stage is the packaging of the
cement
in bags .Moving on to concrete production , the process simply starts with mixing the four raw materials in certain quantities that are ;
Cement
15% , Sand 25%, Gravel 50% and water 10% , these materials are added to the mixer to produce concrete.
