Food travels thousands of miles from producers to consumers. Some people think that it would be better for the environment and economy if people only ate the local food produced by farmers. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

the meal is a basic amenity for human life. A few believe that bread coming from different places is dangerous for the atmosphere and for the local ,economy it's better to buy from local farmers. I agree with the statement to a great extent. On the one side, first of ,all when bread moves from one place to ,another it needs transportation which consumes fossil fuel which generates harmful gases for the environment by which air pollution is increasing day by day which has detrimental effects on the human body. The second reason is that wrapping material which is needed when transporting the goods is quite dangerous for the environment as it takes thousands of years to get destroyed and these things make a huge impact on the local economy and on local farming of that area as the public choose to but easy to cook material. On the other side, people won't be able to taste the variety of snacks if it will not come from other locations they will have to eat their local meals continuously which is not a good factor in the modern world as most of population have the desire to have the bread of every country as it is easily available in their own local markets In ,conclusion the trend has more pros than cons as it creates problems for both environment and the local economy and has a danger to farming
