The chart below shows the percentage of adults of different age in the UK who used the Internet every day from 2003-2006. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant
Presented for consideration is the bar chart illustrating the proportion of adults in various age groups using the
Internet
on a daily basis in the UK between 2003 and 2006.
At first glance, the most noticeable aspect of this
bar chart is that all categories witnessed an increase in the figure for adults using the Internet
during the period, beginning from 2003 to 2006. Nevertheless
, there was an uneven growth in all figures, which will be indicated below.
Getting back to the details, it is evident that despite being the largest users of the internet
, the percentage of teenagers aged 16 to 24 stayed unchanged at 80% from 2003 and 2004, after which it rose and went down respectively until it reached 90% in 2006. Similarly
, the figure for users over 65 and between 55 to 64 years nearly remained in the first years before slightly going up from 17% to 20%; from 37% to 50%.
Another point worth mentioning is that a significant climb was observed in the remaining groups. To specify, the percentage of 25-to 44-year-old and 45-to 54-year-old people using the internet
steadily uplifted from 50% and 60% to the same number (80%).Submitted by lnthanhvy06 on
