Dear Mr Jalolov, I am writing on behalf of a
children’s
home, if you could possibly publish our situation for volunteers and other young people. Because we need their help at weekends.
Firstly
, our
children’s
home is too old, so we should paint it with different colours. I consider it may be more beautiful than the situation of now. But we do have not enough money.
Thus
, we will not book special masters for painting.
Secondly
, we should organize a party for
children’s
day and a lot of people may visit from other
children’s
homes. But our yard is very large. Our staff is few workers. So, I think, we will not be manage to the party. If you find several volunteers ,our team will be very happy. I look forward to receiving your reply as soon as possible. Yours sincerely, Xadiyabonu Sidiqova.

Word Count

IELTS says that you should write a minimum of 150 words in writing task 1. If you go under word count you will lose marks in task response.

A very long letter will not give you a higher band score.

Aim for between 160 to 190 words in writing task 1. This will ensure a concise letter and will be realistic in terms of time management. You have only 20 minutes to write the letter and you need around 5 minutes of planning time, so you will not be able to write a long letter in 15 minutes.
