The picture gives information about the transformation of a village named Youngsville in New Zealand from 1980 to 2005. It can be clearly seen that the northern
area
experienced a significant change around the lake. There was
also
a remarkable transformation in the south corner of the map as
this
area
was turned into an industrial zone. To the north of the map, there was a hospital in the northwest
area
of the lake, surrounded by many trees, and a residential
area
situated to the northeast corner in 1980. In 2005 witnessed dramatic changes in
this
area
as many trees were chopped down to make way for a new park.
Furthermore
, the residential
area
was replaced by a brand-new stadium and a parking zone. In the south
area
of
this
village in 1980, there was a school in the southwest corner,
along with
some houses and an airport. To the southeast
area
, there was a row of buildings and a railway. In 2005, the village witnessed many remarkable changes. The school and airport were still unchanged, but the centre of
this
area
was converted into an industrial zone with many factories and warehouses. The residential buildings were substituted by two new skyscrapers. The railway was expanded to the northern
area
and a new Marina was constructed right at the mouth of the river to the sea.
