The maps below show the changes in a town after the construction of a hydroelectric power dam.

The maps illustrate what the layout of a local area looked like before and after a hydroelectric power dam was erected in 2010.

It is clear that

there are various striking transformations. All of these

such

as the removal of forest and the appearance of a hotel

as well as

some power plants make the town become more modern. As can be seen, in 1990, a river was situated in the middle of the town from the north to the south. On the left side of it, there was an ancient-architecture building and a forest which was the habitat for numerous rare animals

together with

plants. On the opposite side, irrigated farmlands

along with

villages were located between ranges of mountains. In 2010, as a dam was constructed crossing the river, a human-made lake was erected in the north.

Also

, a hotel appeared in the eastern part of the region to meet people's needs.

While

the river was still in its old position, the farmlands on the right and those eco-friendly parts on the left were removed.

Instead

, a number of power plants were installed on either side of the flow.
