Mrs Barret, an English-speaking woman who lives in your town, has advertised fro someone to help her in her home for a few hours a day next summer. Write a letter to Mrs Barret. In your letter - Suggest how you could help her in her home - Say why you would liek to do this work - Explain when you will and will not be available
Dear Mrs Barret,
I am writing to you in reference to the advertisement you posted for a part-time domestic helper. I believe I am a suitable candidate for that job.
I am handy in various household chores,
for example
, laundry, cooking and cleaning. I am also
good at taking care of toddlers and pets. In addition
, outdoor works like lawn-mowing and gardening are my favourites.
Since I am a working student and have a two-month-long semester break next summer, I wish to use this
time as an opportunity to earn some extra money to support my education. Besides
, I have similar work experiences from the past and genuinely love doing such
tasks, making me an ideal candidate for the job.
I would like to let you know about my availability. I will be available throughout the weekdays, Monday to Friday, from early morning to mid-afternoon. I am scheduled to attend a training class related to my study during evening hours, therefore
will be unavailable for work. As for weekends, I will have to spend them doing my class assignments and having some downtime.
Should you need any more information, please contact me directly on my cellphone. I hope to hear from you soon.
Yours faithfully,
Sam JohnsSubmitted by sth.kumar2010 on
