The line graph shows the
number
of male and female smokers
in Someland from 1960 to 2000.
In overview, it can be seen that the number
of female smokers
increased over the period, whilst the number
of men smokers
in Someland decreased in the given period. Even though, In 1960 there were huge differences in the rate
of smoking between genders, in 2000 the gap was narrowed down.
In 1960, the rate
of male smokers
was 600 people out of a thousand meanwhile there were only an estimated 100 women who smoked during that period. Then
the amount of women smokers
dramatically increased with over 300 females smoking in 1975 . In contrast
, the number
of men who enjoyed smoking slowly declined by 100 people, reaching 500 males who smoked in 1975.
There were also
not many changes in the female rate
of smoking between 1975 to 1985 as the graph was relatively stable and in 1985, there were still 300 female who enjoyed their tobacco. However
, the rate
of male smokers
declined until 1985, when there were only 400 males who smoked. From 1990 to 2000, both genders experienced a downfall in the number
of smokers
with only over 200 males and 200 females who smoke.Submitted by lavenia34808 on
