The request for time off does address the task but it lacks a clear structure and organization. It's advisable to open with a clear statement of intent, follow with a detailed description of the event, and then provide a plan for covering the missed work. This structure would make the email more coherent and easy to follow.

The response meets the task requirements to some degree but fails to clearly articulate the reasons behind the request or the importance of the event. Make sure to clearly state why the event requires your presence and elaborate on why this time off is necessary beyond the mention of rituals.
