The map below show the centre of a small town called Islip as it is now, and plans for its development.
The maps show how Islip
town
is now and how it will develop in the future
.
Overall
, it is clear that
there will be a dramatic change in the structure of the city , particularly in the development of the main highway industry , a park , a bus station and residential buildings.Furthermore
, it is also
worth mentioning that a school , shops and housing will remain unchanged in the future
.
Looking at the details , there has been the main road crossing the town
horizontally ,which is situated at the top of the site.It has created two junctions , one of which leads to the playground on the right-hand side
while
the latter allows access to the school and the housing on the opposite side
.The town
centre has been occupied by one more housing, and sandwiched by two commercial structures.
However
, there are plans to modernise the town
with a new road system and some facilities ,removing the countryside. As a result
, the main roadway will have been diverted to a dual carriageway that will encircle the metropolis in the future
.Also
, a new pedestrian-only lane will be paved at the heart of the site.
Additionally
, in order to provide some amenities to the public, the top of the lane will be dedicated to a bus station, a large shopping centre ,a car park and a new housing ,starting from right to left respectively.Regarding the other side
of the lane, one of the shops will be maintained similar in size ,but the park is expected to be minimized to make way for new housing to its left. The previous housing will be replaced on the left-hand side
.The last
thing to notice is that the school and the housing will be kept outside the township in the future
