The bar chart illustrates the proportions of families owning and renting a house in England and Wales between 1918 and 2011. In terms of families having home ownership, it stayed unchanged during the time from 1939 to 1953, accounting for approximately 32%. Over the next periods, from 1953 to 1991, possessed houses experienced a gradual rise until their rate reached a peak at roughly 70% in 2001, followed by a slight drop in 2011, which was 64%, specifically. Turning to households hiring a place to accommodate, in 1918, under 80% of families lived in rented houses which was nearly 4 times the rate for owned houses. From 1939 to 1953, it remained steady at under 70% before seeing a dramatic decline over the next 38 years. It
then
was at a low point of 32% in 2001.
Furthermore
