It is evident that people without work in the UK
followed a downward trend trajectory, whereas
the Japanese who were out of work demonstrated an upward trend in this
period of time.

1993, the percentage of UK
unemployed accounted for 7% before a significant decline was witnessed in the ratio of underemployed rate after 3 years, stood at 5.5%. Additionally
, there was a gradual decrease of inactive individuals in the UK
registering 4.2% at the end

period.
On the other hand
, 2.3% of Japanese had no job at the beginning of this
period, a moderate climb was seen in the jobless rate, at 3.3%. Another noteworthy observation is that it fluctuated and continued to rise slightly before reaching a peak at 4.7% in March
