The given charts illustrate the amount of export earnings in some product categories between 2015 and 2016 and how much the values of every product in 2016 compared to those in 2015.

Overall

, it can clearly be seen that the earnings in almost all products increased, except the gems and jewellery. Petroleum products were the most dominant in both years.

Although

textiles were the lowest in the earnings of export, they became the highest in the change in value in 2016 compared to the others. In terms of the value of exports, the most dominant was petroleum which stood at just above 60

, whilst textiles were the lowest ones in both years but rose significantly from about 25

in 2015 to just above 30

in 2016. Gems and jewellery were the only ones that experienced a slight decrease of approximately 2

. Regarding the changes in values, textiles possessed the highest rate, accounting for 15.24%. The others were just under 9% with Agricultural products witnessing the least changes during the given period.

By contrast, while the same pattern is seen for crime levels, the proportion of both sexes thinking it was poor was much higher (32 per cent for men and 31 per cent for women); the latter also felt less satisfied when only 40 per cent of them were satisfied compared with men at 46 per cent. There is a big difference between women’s satisfaction with railway station safety compared to men, 32 per cent compared to 48 per cent for men.

Others, on the contrary, assert that there are some workable methods rather than imprisonment to treat this problem. There are valid arguments on both sides, which I will discuss and conclude by clearly stating my viewpoint.
